The road we travel during our life can have many bends, bumps and holes but we manage to carry on, every so often we have a crash and that’s even harder to carry on from. Some have more crashes than others, we do not know why, they don’t deserve to crash they don’t even know why they crash but they have the strength to recover and they do; eventually.
Life is hard sometimes for many and all we can do is support and be there for them, only they can recover, when their strength kicks in. Where does it come from, we never know we have it until it is needed and then bang, it’s like your superwoman as you know it’s up to you to do what you have to do.
I had a few crashes in my time in fact I think I have had more than my fair share so now I will just have bumps, they still knock you but you stay standing for another day.
I saw this today and liked the words.

20140504-101429 pm.jpg I am going to be happy again on my own, I tell myself that a lot at the moment. Carl the fireman gave me things to look forward to every day and now I have to think for myself again, there are lots of things to be happy about but sometimes they are hard to picture. Let’s get back on that road and journey with friends who love you for you.

I was thinking of a friend at the same time as I wrote this and as soon as she got the email of it she sent me xxx so I feel it helped her too. I am going to write a story tomorrow about Carl as I feel I need to ‘get it out’ lol xxxx

Yes, you’re right Nanny – we certainly all suffer crashes and our hearts are broken by events out of our control (as mine was on being widowed) but other doors do open and I’ve found the love and support of family and true friends is the best framework to help climb back up again. The words you found are very good and will probably help others too. Just keep striding along that road – and remember to take time to admire the blossom and roses on the way. xx
