MICHÉL FABER I was very lucky to have Michél come and give a talk to my writing group, what a fantastic evening we had. Going through his life, writing and living in different countries kept us all enthralled the whole evening, finishing off with a super Q n A session. I felt ashamed to say I had not read his book The Crimson Petal and the White but I have ordered it and the film so I am looking forward to reading the book first. SUNDAY 17th JULY 2022 This was The Harbour churches free fun day and what a day it was, not only were all the bouncy castles free but so were the many activity tables where the children could make not only bracelets, and masks but even have sparkly tattoos. Children eating the many sweets and donuts and then you had the barbeque going for free burgers! Well done to the chefs of the day. It really was a lovely afternoon accompanid with live music throughout, making it a lovely spot to just chill on a very hot sunday afternoon.

I was so pleased to see one of the frogs back the other day, they really do keep the slugs away from my plants, I need to find the other 100 from the tadpoles I put in there last year! Goodness knows where they have all gone. UPDATE – I have two more in the pond! We had a false start a couple of weeks ago so I got all the cushions out and bought myself a garden rug, bargain at £9.99 from Home Bargains, I might get one for the camper as well. The flowers are also coming along so I hope this patch of cold weather does not kill them. It was my grandson’s 21st last month and I know the weather can be unpredictable about this time of year.
