You get a warm welcome when you enter this restaurant in Folkestone, which is at the top end with a nice selection of places to eat near by.
They are open lunchtime so it is a really pleasant place to sit outside in the sunshine, the weather thinks it is Spring at the moment so everyone is making the most of it. We sat inside where the temperature was just right.
While you read and read it again and change your mind at least twice they do give you olives and pita bread which came with our drinks, so that keeps you going. There is so much choice and I never know which to pick but the starters were wonderful with the three we picked going together really well. Russian salad, pan-fried prawns and the sauté potato, which was my favourite, sometimes you get really hard bits of potato or else its mush but this was cooked to perfection and I really loved the taste. Nice flavours but nothing that took over.
The colours were superb!
Then to the main course where I eventually chose the grilled chicken Beyti and my friend had the mixed grill, there was a lot of that. Mine was just the right amount but the tastiest thing was the rice, not hard, not stuck together, really light and delicate flavours that we both loved.
I must add that neither of us touched the bowl of salad you get with it. It was really filling with the tastes so nice, nothing overpowering or hot, we didn’t use the chilli sauce you get with it.
A really great restaurant, good atmosphere with the service being just right and probably the best Turkish meal I have had for a really long time.I will definitely be going back there and taking my family and friends with me.
The choice in Folkestone really is amazing but they are also good quality places to choose from so you are never stuck with wondering where to go.
