I was praying for sunshine last Wednesday as I had the ladies who lunch celebrating my birthday with me in my garden. The theme was Italian as I not only love Italy but also all their food. Jodie did me some menu’s and flags for the food.

It was a very quiet lunch as only three ladies could make it as we have some that are poorly also some on holiday, so it was a bit sad for me.

We did put on a good spread though so when all the family and all ten grandchildren turned up after school there was lots of food, in fact I still have some in my freezer. I will be eating italian for the next week.

Sylvie made the tear and share bread which was a hit with the twins, I loved the Tiramisu.

We all had a hand in designing the rosemary ring with olives and feta.

I am not sure why I ended up with three birthday cakes but they were all delicious.

So it all turned out to be a super day and one of my best birthdays with all my family and friends here.

We have missed you at the group so get well soon. I would love him to write about our group, I am finding it hard to reach new people now as there must be lots out there who enjoy writing. Have you been on our website yet, what did you think?

Sorry I missed your birthday Karen,
I would have been happy to help you eat your delicious food and celebrate with you.
Haven’t been overly well and can’t really go anywhere until my antibiotics have done their job.
    Haven’t been eating much either.
Have lost a few kilos. I’m sure there are better ways to lose weight.
I know that Sasha and old friend of ours from Canada are coming to next writers meeting in the chambers on
Old friend from Canada used to write for the Folkestone Herald
He writes more political news internationally now.
I’d love him to write about “write by the sea”.
Years ago he wrote about a ghost I. The old Folkestone Pizza Hut. Story that I’d mentioned to him in passing . Did make an interesting local story I guess.
Hope you get chance to meet up with Sasha and Keith.
I’m sure he’d appreciate some of your uneaten Italian fayre. Bit more difficult for Sash as she’s vegan now
Hope to me back with you all next meeting xxx

What do you think?
