I do not really know where to start about this story, it is the most gripping, talented piece of writing I have ever read. It is the best book I have ever read, I just loved it so much!

The first novel Into the Darkest Corner was published by Myriad Editions in February 2011 and was featured on Channel 4’s TV Book Club. It was selected as one of Amazon UK’s Rising Stars and went on to win Amazon UK Best Book of 2011.

The story was partly inspired by Elizabeth’s work as a police intelligence analyst. At the time you had to produce a quarterly report on violent crime and as part of this she read a lot of accounts of domestic abuse. I guess you get a lot of ideas from doing this sort of job. It must be hard though reading about bad stuff all day?

You can buy all the books here.  I will definitely be looking out for another one real soon.

This story did make me think about some dark parts of my past but I read through and just really kept going as I was so engrossed in this story. The constant checking of doors and windows being shut you can really relate to as it makes you feel like that after a scare.

I really did not like her friend Sylvia at the beginning as she did betray Catherine and when your best friend does not believe you then things are bad. She did redeem herself at the end though so that was good.

This is a big book but I just could not stop reading and read well into the early hours as I wanted to know what happens. I give it hundreds and hundreds of stars!

Absolutely fantastic, absorbing, shocking and the most amazing book ever, what is your favourite book?
