I love this event, shame it is not in the summer though as it’s always a struggle going out on cold winter nights. They have outdone themselves this year with so many great shows, discussions and workshops.
It will be lovely to catch up with Julie Wassmer again and find out about her new book, I am looking forward to reading and reviewing it for her, I love those books as they are all set in Whitstable so you can picture the scenes in your head. Maybe she should be writing one in Folkestone, that would be good. I believe her new one is set in Ore by Whitstable.
I attended a Wellbeing workshop for writers at the weekend, this was given by Francesca Baker who is extremely good at these short workshops, I went to one last year, although this could have gone on longer as was set for two hours. Interesting ways to look at things especially us writers who appear to forget about everything once we shut ourselves off and start writing. Which would be a very good way to diet but if your like me when you do surface you eat all the wrong things and that’s just waiting for your dinner to cook.
Andy Miller’s workshop I hope will be interesting as I need all the help I can get with editing, I wonder if he will have a magic wand.
There are things for everyone this year as it goes from strength to strength, well done The Creative Foundation in Folkestone.
