This centre has been open for a year now and is fast becoming a go to place for all aspects of your wellbeing.
I enjoyed having a look round at the pieces they sell from being able to find a lovely looking journal, I do like a nice notebook and they didn’t disappoint or a CD of relaxing music or even candles to help you un-wind, I am sure you will find something of interest to you, as I know I did.
I discovered this place when I read about the storytelling afternoon once a month, this can just mean you go and listen for maybe a bit of company or you write your own piece of writing to take with you to read out to the others if you want to or someone else can read it for you if you are a bit shy. I found the group very friendly when I went there on my own, yes I was brave and it was ok. I only had a couple of poems to read which were about Great Expectations, a wide topic I thought. This month the topic is Body, I haven’t written anything yet as been trying to get ahead with blog posts but I will try.
I was really pleased to see that this is the new home for the White Tent Men’s Movement as lets face it men as well as women often need support in their lives at some point. This gives them the chance to come together with other men to get some support or information for their wellbeing. Let’s hope this takes off and becomes a well attended event once a month starting in April.
Here is just a small sample of the things that are going on here at the centre, to find out more details or what is happening then just drop in and see them. You can find all their details at the bottom of this post.
If you are about on a Saturday morning then drop in for a coffee and find out about the social events that are being planned. Just remember we are all in this together so you get support, help, friendship, emotional support, actually you get what ever helps your wellbeing to be well.
See you down there
