Arriving back from holiday it was all systems go to organise everything for the new writers group Write by the sea, I took Izzy to the venue that was going to hold the meetings, Bella Vita down the bottom of The Old High Street.

Then I had my first experience of going on the radio at Academy fm but actually even though I was really nervous Josh was just talking to me and I almost forgot I was actually on the radio. I had many problems trying to put the interview on my post so I will apologise for that.

The first meeting of Write by the sea was amazing, we had 13 people turn up also messages from others to say they would be there next month. A wonderful group of writers from a varied point of what they write so I was really thrilled at that. I set up the first few months of next year for the author talks, so many want to come and talk with some just going to come to some meetings, so you never know who you might meet at the next meeting.

I read a couple of books but had to do some reviews from when on holiday, I loved The Stepsister so put it on your to be read list. I love a good list both my daughters follow the tradition and sometimes even progress to a book of lists! lol.

A super lunch with the ladies feels a long way away now as that was right at the beginning of the month, a lovely venue in New Romney at the Cinque Ports and the desserts were super.

I do some reviews for Get Blogged so that was why there was some strange dating posts on my blog last month.

Then of course there was the planning for NaNoWriMo which I did nowhere near enough as got so busy with blog and group so it will be fingers crossed.  National Novel Writing Month happens every year so you can sign up to it and the idea is to write 50,000 words during the month of November. It amounts to 1,667 words a day, some do it all at the weekend if they are working, I try to do some each day but I have only succeeded once during the 3 years I have attempted it so I am very focused to completing this years on target.

Halloween ended the month with some great pictures of everyone, I had one trick or treat and that was Alfie.

So that was October, what was your best bit?
