Killing Sin (1)

I am so pleased to be on this blog tour, this book is one of the best ever. It has everything and will make you keep turning the pages until the end!

KH Irvine grew up in Scotland and now lives near London. The book was her 50th birthday gift to herself, believing you are never too old to try something new. Her work has taken her to board rooms, universities and governments all over the world and has included up close and personal access to special forces. A Killing Sin is her first book. The second follows on a few years later as Britain moves to civil unrest with the rise of the far right as the personal and political become intertwined.

Would you surrender your secrets to save a life?

London. It could be tomorrow. Amala Hackeem, lapsed Muslim tech entrepreneur and controversial comedian, dons a burqa and heads to the women’s group at the Tower Hamlets sharia community. What is she doing there?

Ella Russell, a struggling journalist leaves home in pursuit of the story of her life. Desperate for the truth, she is about to learn the true cost of the war on terror.

Millie Stephenson, a university professor and expert in radicalisation arrives at Downing Street to brief the Prime Minister and home secretary. Nervous and excited she finds herself at the centre of a nation taken hostage. And then it gets personal.

Friends since university, by the end of the day the lives of all three women are changed forever. They will discover if friendship truly can survive secrets and fear.

Were do I start as this grabs you from the very first page so you cannot put it down. Thank you to LOVE BOOKS GROUP TOURS for sending me the book in return for a full review.

A KILLING SIN is the best book I have read this year and will be my top book for 2019, a very bold statement I hear you say. I just cannot see anything beating it but I have been known to be wrong so we will wait until December for the balloons and whistles.

Back to the book, not one I would have picked myself so I am pleased when I said yes to a blog tour and honest review as I read something wonderful.

For a first book, yes K.H. Irvine turned 50 and decided to write a book!

I am so pleased she did as I could not put it down. Terrorists are not a good thing to read about as always makes me think it will give people ideas. As you read this it makes you wonder how much is actually true or just made-up? I have no idea but it all reads like it is very true and factual. Sleazy government sounds real!

Emotions really come to the surface as people face a situation that you would never think could happen, I found I was either angry or upset it goes like a swing as you read. The details keep you hooked plus the shock factor through this story, how do they brain wash young people but after reading you can understand a part of that is whatever the young person is facing in their own life. Some just want to belong and feel part of something.

Friendships follow us through life with these three women knowing that nothing will ever be the same. You wonder how they will survive or will they? Terror and deep pain flow through this book, it really is an outstanding piece of work that deserves being a best seller and in everyone’s top five of this year.
