As August was a washout it was a pleasant surprise that the sun has been shining this month, long may it continue but the nasty weatherman keeps saying it is going to rain next week!  I always think it is good when we have a bit of sun during September/October as it feels like winter will be a shorter season. This is what you call a well-planned and laid-out table, does it help sell more books though?   This table had piles of books, no swag, no decoration just the author and his books. Would you stop at this table and have a chat?   Above we have two very different tables at a book festival I organised a couple of years ago.  I was really impressed with Bea’s table, it looked bright and catchy plus there were things to give away.
