What a lovely story about a 96-year-old lady who over the years fills in her little red address book and then as she gets older she puts a line through the name when they pass away.

Writing and thinking about her life is a joy for us to read, she certainly lived a good life even though it was hard at times.

Her high light of the week is the Skype call to her American grandniece and her family, then when Doris has a fall and all is not good she flies over to be with Doris when she passes. Hearing about her loves and life fill their days while at the hospital together, then at the end she is reunited with her first love so they both die happy.

A bit sad at times but a beautifully written story about her life during the wars and all she endured.

Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity of reading this story that was written from the heart.

Happy reading
