#JoBavingtonJones – Karen's World

Published by The Conrad Press

Will Lucy ever be able to put her own happiness first? Lucy Shaw, sure by name but not by nature, wants to make her marriage work. In her head, that is. Her heart has other ideas as she embarks on a bittersweet journey to try and find true happiness.
To the outside world, Lucy’s life looks close to perfect: a doting husband, a model son, a lovely home, but it’s all an act and the strain is starting to show as Lucy searches for something that will make her life bearable.
This is a warm, witty and searingly honest novel of life, love and friendship.

Jo Bavington-Jones was born in 1967 in Dover, where her father owned the local newspaper. Jo has an Honours Degree in English and American Literature from the University of Kent at Canterbury. She has always wanted to be a writer. –This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

What did I think?

I met Jo back in November last year at a book event I organised for local authors. It was a thrill to meet so many authors busy writing away at every opportunity they get and producing such brilliant work.

I loved the humour in this book plus the fact that many people could relate to parts of the story, life is not easy for anyone and this book portrays the ‘what ifs’ and ‘Should I do it?’ in such an easy reading manner. I could pick this up at any time and get right back into it. Lucy Shaw is a great character and I loved this even though I had not read the previous book. Would make a great Christmas present for the readers in your life.
