I am so excited to be on this blog tour, mainly because Faith Hogan is such a lovely person and of course she has written a great book. Us bloggers mainly get manuscripts sent to our Kindle but occasionally they send us the book but Faith improved on that by not only sending a bookmark but also a gorgeous bracelet with these words:

Tie this bracelet to your wrist,

Close your eyes and make a wish.

When the cord starts to fray,

Your wish is on its way.

That is so nice and it’s little things like this that make reading all these books worth while. Thank you Faith x

THE GIRL I USED TO KNOW

Two women. Two very different lives. One unexpected friendship.

But the reality is a soulless home, an unfaithful husband and a very lonely heart. While Tess has spent a lifetime hiding and shutting her heart to love. But if they can open up to one another, these two women may just learn that sometimes letting go is the first step to moving forward and new friendships can come from the most unlikely situations.

WHAT DID I THINK:

Where to start as this story had a bit of everything and had me looking forward to picking it up again to read it. This is a longer book with over 400 pages but it needs that as everything is picked apart it’s like you know as a reader what the characters are thinking. I thought Tess and Amanda were great and it goes to show we all need a friend at some points in our life, they end up best friends and their lives change dramatically with it ending up bringing them closer. Strong women are what they become but it does not come easily, just like real life. I thought the way Amanda’s house becomes a home was such a nice way to describe it and you could imagine her sitting in there painting and happy. Brilliant happy story that was a pleasure to read and review, thank you Faith and Aria books.
