What a lovely meal we all had here at Costas restaurant the other day, it was of course our ladies that lunch but we were very sparse on numbers. We normally have nine of us but what with illness and cars we were down to four! We still had a really good time and put the world to rights though.

The menu choice is extensive with it all sounding amazing. This is just the lunchtime set menu which we all had.

We all had the Prawn Cocktail which had a good amount of prawns in it that I love. Two of us had the Chicken Elizabeth which was lovely, I really liked the mushroom sauce in fact it was all super. The other two had the Burger and neither could finish it as there was just so much there. A nice bottle of chilled rosé to go with it went down very well.

The main menu has a good selection if nothing appeals to you on the lunchtime special. But what a good price of £12.95 for two courses.

The other thing that I think is just superb when there are a few of you dining and that is the round tables, so much easier for chatting to everyone. We did of course have to try the desserts with the choice being amazing, I wanted them all!

I eventually chose the Sticky Toffee Cheesecake, Carol & Corinne had the Gin Fizz then Sylvie had the Salted Caramel Waffle.

I am loving the fork and the S dusted round. This restaurant really is good, with Costas having a chat with everyone and making sure everything was perfect. Also was a very nice touch that he gave us some Bailey’s to finish off our meal. I am looking forward to going here again but maybe for some Happy Hour cocktails before a meal, I feel I really should taste their cocktails and review them for you.

Sylvie put your phone down!

Not visited this before, nor Costas’s previous restaurant, but this review has ensured that it won’t be long before I will!
