I know everybody must be so fed up with all this rain, wind and high tides and there is nothing we can do about it, the forces of nature are against us. To lose your house and belongings that you have worked so hard for is something that you can just not imagine if you have not been through it. Even if you are renting it may still be your furniture and possessions that get wet. Some things you can dry out if the weather is kind enough to give you some dry sunny days but alas that is not even happening so things are just staying wet and getting ruined. My heart goes out to all the people that are suffering, I really do hope that many flood defences are built or up graded this summer so we do not ever face another winter like this.

In the last hour I have seen several news stories about animals that have been left in flooded fields with no food so they have just got colder and died. Three horses in one field that the owner just left there, probably because he had no transport to move them or no where to move them to. To find a pony in a ditch must be awful but knowing that it suffered so unnecessary is heartbreaking. Sheep grouping together trying to find a bit of grass that is not flooded and hungry as no one has been to feed them. I really hope the RSPCA respond and deal with these people in the courts and never let them have animals again. That’s my rant over but I am still very angry.

I have been very bad at doing my blog posts but I have been busy writing trying to get things as good as I can before the end of March. I have put myself under pressure but I think it is working as I know I have got to get it all done to the very best of my ability. As usual a lot of things appear to be happening at once which is never good for me especially when to do with my medication but as they do not know what is causing my extremely fast heart rate they are taking me off another lot of tablets and waiting a week before starting new ones. I just hope they work as good as the ones I have been on. Then the hospital rang about my tooth and they are seeing me in March so I hope the news will be better than what the dentist said as I really do not want another operation. I also have developed an air bubble on the nerve in my toe so a scan is being done in a couple of weeks to see its position and what they are going to do…..how on earth you get an air bubble in your toe is a mystery but so long as it does not travel to my heart I am not going to worry about that.

One good thing is that the diet is working very well and I am beginning to like plates of vegetables with salmon, chicken or fish all steamed. Very easy quick way to cook dinner and only one pan to wash up, so all is good.

Stay dry and warm everyone xx

Sorry to hear that you’re having ill health issues. I didn’t even realise you could get an air bubble on a nerve, how strange. I hope they manage to sort your medication xx

If money had been spent on flood defences in the first place then we wouldn’t be facing such terrible consequences, unfortunately the UK gives billions of pounds away to foreign lands instead of ploughing the money into resources for this country. I guess politicians and bureaucratic oafs run hand in hand these days but hey they have plenty of cash so who cares? It’s a cruel joke for all those that have lost everything.

    Great posting Nanny Cool 🙂
