NUMBER 47 BY HANNAH R. PALMER – BOOK REVIEW

INDEPENDENTLY PUBLISHED ON 25th JUNE 2019

ABOUT THE BOOK

What do you do when the person you love doesn’t love you back?

You fight for them. Love isn’t meant to be easy and passion will not be ignored. But the real question is, how much do you fight? How far do you take it before love leans into obsession?

For Sarah, there’s no other option but to fight. Without him, her life’s not worth living. She’ll stop at nothing to finally have him by her side. Sarah wants nothing more than to start a family with him, to grow old with him, to fill the frames in her apartment with nothing but his face. She’s studied every inch of him. Every one of his quirks. Every habit.

HANNAH PALMER lives on the south coast in Kent, South East England. When she’s not writing, she can normally be found with a book in her hands.

Hannah has always been interested in dark thrillers and the macabre and is thrilled to have found a way to express that passion. Her main influences have come from authors such as Neil Gaiman, Kate Hamer, Margaret Atwood and Gillian Flynn.

‘Number 47’ is Hannah’s first novel and was inspired by the darkness that everyone tries so desperately to repress. It explores themes of love, belonging and when passion leans into obsession.

Despite the best of intentions, Hannah is terrible at blogging but loves to speak to readers and other writers.

WHAT DID I THINK?

Where do I start, this was absolutely amazing and I cannot believe this is a first novel by this very talented young lady, Hannah. I am sure know she is going to write a best seller one day as her talent shines through in this book.

The descriptive writing during the first part is exceptional as you can see the picture in your mind and almost even smell the disgusting trash that is everywhere.

This was not what I was expecting as the idea is unusual and not a normal love story, once you start you cannot put this book down. It grips you from the first page but you cannot predict where it is taking you and then when you get to the end, well it’s a shock and I never expected that! This is so good I am going to recommend it to a publisher as I really think this warrants a publishing deal! Well done Hannah and I can’t wait to read your next book.
