As some of you know I am writing a book about my life, after much thought I have decided to split it up. So the first part will be from conception to 20 years old, this was probably the hardest to write as so much happened during that time and a lot of it took years to come to terms with. I have now dangled a carrot so you can’t wait to read it! I hope.

I have set my story out with letters and photos and I came across this one, I think I was about 7 and just before this picture was taken I had long hair! What mother would do that to her only child?

This was not as bad as some things but I must say I feel good for writing it all down. I am now going through edits and padding and when I am happy hopefully you will want to read it, fingers crossed.

Photos bring back so many memories, I often get side tracked remembering what was going on at that particular time. I must admit I prefer holding a photo than looking on-line at them but I know that’s the way forward now.

Hope your day will be a memory for you x

Lol 😂 very good point about conception, must be my powers lol.
I think I get the meals out from Nan and grandad as we went often, what a good thing to pass on lol.
That hair got me bullied so much, what a state and you should see my fringe in some of the pics! Xxxx

You’re amazing. I’ve never known anyone write their memoirs who remembered conception. That’s a great early photograph and looks like you had a fantastic garden. You carry the short hair well but I imagine the sudden change must have been a shock.
I’m sure whatever you write about whatever you remember will be fun and memorable Karen but I’m guessing it won’t include the meals out with you and your posse at that early age.. Have fun with the writing and all your memories.
