MARLEYS IN FOLKESTONE

RESTAURANT REVIEW

Marleys is the new bistro that has arrived down The Old High Street in Folkestone. I really like the way they have done the decor it is very casual but somehow has a bit of an elegant flare about it.

For a small place the menu is very adventurous and varied with a few different and unusual dishes popping up.  I am really liking the fact that they are using all local ingredients and are open to all dietary requirements, I think this will be a bonus for them and just what we need here.

As this was just a quick visit to review we had a very light lunch of sweet potato skins with mozzarella and piggies in blankets, I did think the cranberry sauce was very good and you could tell it was homemade.

The wine was excellent of course!

They have got the service just right with giving you enough time to read the menu while you saviour the wine.

I didn’t look at the blackboard for the desserts so I will have to go back again but I will say the breakfasts sounded very tasty and I think they may prove to be very popular.

Loved the berries in water then a candle in the top, bit of a different idea, could try holly as it’s Christmas.

I wish them all the best, happy dining
