I was thrilled to at last visit this restaurant here in Folkestone. It was the last day of the government incentive ‘Eat out to help out’ on bank holiday Monday. I went with my granddaughter Jade who is 18 as the weather was pleasant we sat outside at the pop-up bar having a cheeky cocktail, which had a nice price of £5 plus a great sea view.
We had booked a table in the restaurant where people were having either a lunch or a cream tea. We had the three-course lunch which worked out to £10 each, an absolute bargain. The whitebait was picked by both of us and was delicious as was the tartare sauce.
The steak was cooked just as we asked for with homemade chips cooked to perfection with massive onion rings. The ambience in this restaurant flows round with a wave of conversations blending in with the background music. All staff were wearing masks, varying in age but they all had the same work ethic, to be nice and polite to your customers. The dark chocolate brownie with ice cream was delicious and just enough after eating the previous two courses. This was an absolute bargain at £10 a head or even if you paid £20 you are still eating in a Marco Pierre White restaurant where you know the food will be excellent. The pink strawberry gin was pretty good as well!
As you book online, they keep your email address and during the next ten days, I received emails inviting me to dine again plus a free glass of prosecco for myself and three guests when dining through September until end of November, also during September the early week offer of the above three courses for £19.95
Definitely worth a visit if you want something a bit special but prices good enough to be able to go anytime, I will be going back shortly to try more delicious dishes and of course the free prosecco!
