It was the day many had been waiting for, the opening of the Harbour Arm this weekend.  Everything has gone to plan and the visitors have been coming in their hundreds.  The views from all around the arm are amazing, you can see ferry’s going of to France, the lovely beach at Sunny Sands and all the houses set in the hills above Folkestone.  They have done a very good job at renovating and the little rooms have been made into really nice places to eat or drink.  There is plenty of seats outside where you can have a coffee or drink and just watch the world go by or the boats out to catch some fish.  It is a bit of a walk to the end of the arm but probably not if your fit and healthy but if you cant walk that far then you just get a ride and for £1.50 I thought that was a bargain.

It was lovely to see the girls from Follies there and their cafe looked marvelous, all in-keeping with the shop in town and I just loved the lights.  There was of course a good choice of cakes as well as lots of other things on the menu.  They have been busy all weekend and it was hot in there as we are having a mini heatwave at the moment.

There is a good mixture of food and drink so you are spoilt for choice Dr Legumes, I will have to ask them who thought of the name.  They seemed a bit shy first of all but I still took the pictures, it was too busy to stop and chat so I will find out more next time I am down there. Everything they serve is good for you, they even do Tofu Hot Dogs!

I did like The Mole Hole Bar, very small but cute.DSCF2120DSCF2119DSCF2151DSCF2116And then you had the ladies doing the afternoon tea and cakesDSCF2141DSCF2140DSCF2173

Another great place to visit in Folkestone, there will be music and entertainment every weekend until October.  A lovely place to walk along on these hot summer nights.
