BOOK COVER REVEAL
My writing group in Folkestone called Write by the Sea has published its third anthology called Journeys by the Sea. The book launch will be on Saturday 13th May from 2pm until 6pm at the new bookshop in Tontine Street, Folkestone, Kent CT20 1JP This is a free event for everyone to attend, there will be refreshments, finger buffet and crafts for children to do while you browse the books and meet all the authors. I was very lucky to win a £30 voucher for Aspendos in a raffle so I decided to make an evening of it and take Kara & Ben and Jade out for a meal. I had never been to this Turkish restaurant before, it is a very popular place with establishments in all neighbouring towns. The sea view here with the afternoon sun is really nice and warm, just right for a pre-dinner aperitif. We came here last year and loved it and it was just as good this year. They had an extraordinary moment where the child plants a magic seed, and then when with Santa they put it in a magic cupboard so when the child opens the door there is now a little Christmas tree for them to take home and plant.
