It was great starting the New Year with my monthly chat on the radio, Academy FM, all about books, events and the writing group, Write By The Sea.

The normal host Kay was absent with the dreaded bug that has been doing the rounds and appears to take about three weeks for it to go completely. It was great to meet Leanne who is in training and thrown in the deep end but what a great job she did, we had a super time plus she is also a blogger so we will be sharing posts very soon.

I took Hannah R. Palmer along with me and presented her with the certificate for Best book of 2019. The book NUMBER 47 is brilliant so she really deserved this win, also it was her first book so can you imagine how great the next one is going to be.

I also announced how much we had raised for Folkestone MIND, then went on to present them with their cheque later in the day.  Could be a collaboration with them and the writing group later in the year, so that’s very exciting.

Lots of great things to look forward to this year including a big event in April, new premises for the writing group, a book swap, an anthology of our work, summer garden party and lots more.

See you soon
