THOUGHTS & VIEWS

Tea-lights are getting smaller, have you noticed? They do not even last an evening now so what’s the use of that, I think they need to be much thicker as I am using far too many. This reminds me about the size of the sweet tin’s at Christmas and wagon wheels, it’s all getting too small.

I thought there seemed to be a lot of dog muck on the paths, on my way to the shop my phone went so I have to get my glasses on to read the text message. Then I looked down and realised that it wasn’t dog muck but brown leaves that seem to stick to the pavement! I thought there was rather a lot lol.

My cat has settled back in at home after her visit to Jodie’s and all the other cats, I think she is feeling the cold though as she is refusing to go outside. Even though it has been cold we have had sunshine some days, it makes me look forward to Spring and getting out in the garden again.

Some days you read facts that make you stop and read the whole article, I found this recently when I read that:

On the 28th January 1896 the first speeding fine was given to a British motorist for going over the limit by 2 mph!

In Buckingham palace there are 188 small bedrooms for servants as most live-in!

There are 18,000 bottles of wine in the cellar of Windsor castle!

I love interesting things like this so thought I would share.

I tried this red wine the other week so thought I would mention it as this was one of the nicest I have tasted so I am recommending it, trouble is I have no idea where it came from as it was a present.

I am going to have to mention the weather as I am so fed up of hearing how the snow is coming and everybody rushing out for milk and bread, none of the snow is for our area which is down on the closest point to France, Folkestone, Kent. Our local papers appear not to have any geographical expertise at all!

How soon is too soon to plan a big birthday?

I do love a bit of Pinterest, you find so many amazing things on there.

What do you think?

Quirky post, Karen! I have had that wine, which you should be able to get in any decent supermarket, certainly Sainsbury’s have it. Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc is also lovely.

Oh, you can’t start planning a big birthday celebration early enough!

I will look for both wines when I next do shop. X
