WORKSHOP AT CANTERBURY FESTIVAL

MEMOIR WRITING

IMG_7822

Last week I attended a fringe event at The Canterbury Festival which was about memoir writing given by Caroline Greville. I found it really interesting and it kick started my writing again which was good as I am doing the NaNoWriMo this month. I have already written my life from birth until about 21 which was really just for myself but now I will do a couple of memoir pieces which I could publish.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures in this post.

I think it is really interesting writing about your childhood as what ever your age it is going to be very different from what the children today experience. Even if you just write it for yourself or your family I am sure they will treasure it.

Happy writing

It’s remarkable what we can remember when prodded. Thanks for sharing, Karen.

What a perfectly timed event for you, Karen. Glad that it has helped you re-energise your writing. All writing emanates ultimately from our own experience.
