BEST BITS OF JULY

August and the sun is still shining but where did July go, one minute we are looking forward to the summer beginning the next the children have broken up from school and the summer is in full swing. But really we are so lucky to have this gorgeous weather, I actually feel sorry for the people having to drive to the airports in hot cars to fly out to the sunshine when we have it here and even hotter than some places abroad.

I did a lot of reading during July, probably when I was sitting in the garden enjoying it after Luke the gardener got it all looking super with less maintenance. There were some really good books and three book tours this month that I really enjoyed.

I also did some posts for a dating company and they were fun to be involved with and no I didn’t go on a date but I did have a good look!

Harbour books in Whitstable had a busy month with book releases and book events, I went to a couple of these and really enjoyed them.

I have found just the camper I would like to up-grade to so will trade mine in if I havent sold it by the time it is ready.

The competition I ran was for a new book from Alex Brown called The Wish, Alex will be picking the winner this week and I will post the winner at the weekend also doing a spotlight on Alex.

So that was July gone in a flash and now we have August, the best month of the year as its summer and the grandchildren are all on holiday.

Have a brilliant summer everyone
