THE NEW FOLKESTONE GARDEN CENTRE

This is not actually in Folkestone but on the road out of Hawkinge, it is the old butterfly centre.  But it is well worth the drive or bus as it stops outside.  It stretches back and is full of just about everything you could think to put in your garden.  Reasonably priced plants and shrubs ready for planting.  I got myself some Clematis which were only £2.99 so a bargain.
The Groves restaurant is large with outside seating as well.  I had the cream tea which was delicious and I got a good two full cups of tea out the pot.  Choice of jams in cute little pots and of course the cream.  Next time I will try the ploughman’s as that looked very nice.

Even if you are just going for a drive this is a lovely place to pop into as there is so much to see and also it is nice to buy some different things for friends birthdays, which I did but cannot mention as she reads my blog.
So, even though Wyevale has closed in town we now have a bigger and better garden centre to stock our gardens from.  When you go here mention that you saw my blog please.

HA HA, IF THERE’S SOMEWHERE WITH A CAKE YOU’LL SNIFF IT OUT. It sounds like a really good place to visit if you like plants or you’re looking for a gift.

I wondered where that was. I saw the coffee shop was recruiting, but didn’t know where it was. Interesting!!
