Lets raise a glass to summer! Why celebrate summer I hear you ask, just because the sun has been out for a few days. Well, there is news that the summer is going to be lasting a while longer yet, I know it’s hard to imagine and let’s face it the weather men have been wrong before and I am sure they will be wrong again but let’s all hope that the headlines are true!
Have you got plans for the summer holidays, I have always loved the long six weeks off of no routine, no rushing doing homework, reading and bed on time. The summer is for enjoying your children and relaxing having fun with them. If the weather stays like this, the best way to enjoy it is a picnic at the beach, no charges for that and you all have a brilliant day. I know we are very lucky to be able to walk to the beach but I think the trains are doing the holiday fare tickets so it is a good deal for a family. When I get details of this I will pass them on.
My youngest grandson Alfie (5) went home today from school and started asking his Mum to take the stabilisers off his bike, not being sure that he would be able to do it she suggested taking one side off but he flatly refused, keeping on he wanted them off! Dad came home and took them off, they both stood there watching Alfie; holding their breath, hoping he didn’t hurt himself. They had no need to worry, he got on it and rode up and down the path! He face timed me to show me with a big grin on his face and then went on to tell me he could do a wheely as you just pull the bike up at the front. Lol. I would like to see Mums face if he gets on it tomorrow and does a wheely!
